How have I changed myself in a year? I have had tons of opportunities for a change, but it doesn't work by itself as long as there isn't a will. I doubt that I successfully change myself because I haven't had the will.
It's like stones. There are many stones by roads, but these are just stones, which might turn out diamonds. We need to polish it to get a shiny beautiful diamond.
We face a folk in the road over and over again. Which stone do I take? Do I polish it afterwards? Every time we face it, we choose an either way.
The point is whether we waste these possibility or not. This world is changing quickly. The history tells us.
The amount of information has increased rapidly. The internet makes this world closer. We can get to other countries easily.
Costs of producing has absolutely dropped as much as of consuming has. Consumerism is not the matter of materials, is the matter of our mind.
I think I said the same thing before, but the more easily we can experience a new thing, the less inspiring it gets. It makes us under-evaluate the exact value or impact of what we experience.
So at least I must build a strong will not to waste the possibility, to polish the stone to be the diamond. That would be a change of myself.
I'm in Sydney, Australia at the moment. 2013 has been already kicked off. I have found many stones here. Whether the stones will become gems or not depends on my will against consumerism or desire for a change.
I will keep taking an action this year.
